چکیده
We analyse the change in hyperradial Efimovian three-body potential as two-body interaction is tuned from broad to narrow Feshbach resonance regime. Here, it known both theory and experiment that dissociation scattering length $a_-$ shifts away universal value of $-9.7 \ r_{\mathrm{vdW}}$, with $r_{\mathrm{vdW}} = \frac{1}{2} \left(m C_6/\hbar^2 \right)^{1/4}$ van der Waals range. model system using a separable takes into account full zero-energy behaviour multichannel wave function. find short-range repulsive barrier characteristic for single-channel models remains resonances, whilst parameter originates strong decrease depth. From an analysis underlying spin structure we further attribute this behavior dominance resonant channel compared other background interactions.

Test of the universality of the three-body Efimov parameter at narrow Feshbach resonances.
We measure the critical scattering length for the appearance of the first three-body bound state, or Efimov three-body parameter, at seven different Feshbach resonances in ultracold ^{39}K atoms. We study both intermediate and narrow resonances, where the three-body spectrum is expected to be determined by the nonuniversal coupling of two scattering channels. Instead, our observed ratio of the ...
متن کاملBroad versus narrow Fano - Feshbach resonances in the BCS - BEC crossover with trapped Fermi atoms
– With reference to the broad and narrow Fano-Feshbach resonances of 6 Li at about 822G and 543G, we show that for the broad resonance a molecular coupled-channel calculation can be mapped with excellent accuracy onto an effective single-channel problem with a contact interaction. This occurs for a wide enough range of the magnetic field, that the full BCS-BEC crossover can be realized with a t...
متن کاملFermi-Bose mixtures near broad interspecies Feshbach resonances.
In this Letter we study dressed bound states in Fermi-Bose mixtures near broad interspecies resonances, and implications on many-body correlations. We present the evidence for a first order phase transition between a mixture of Fermi gas and condensate, and a fully paired mixture where extended fermionic molecules occupy a single pairing channel instead of forming a molecular Fermi surface. We ...
متن کاملSeries of Broad Resonances in Atomic Three-Body Systems
Abstract: We re-examine the series of resonances found earlier in atomic three-body systems by solving the Faddeev-Merkuriev integral equations. These resonances are rather broad and line up at each threshold with gradually increasing gaps. This lining up takes place in the same way for all thresholds and is irrespective of the spatial symmetry. We relate these resonances to the Gailitis mechan...
متن کاملFeshbach Resonances in 3
We discuss the stability of homonuclear and heteronuclear mixtures of 3He and 4He atoms in the metastable 2 S1 state (He∗) and predict positions and widths of Feshbach resonances by using the asymptotic-bound-state model. All calculations are performed without fit parameters, using ab initio calculations of molecular potentials. One promising very broad Feshbach resonance ( B = 72.9+18.3 −19.3 ...
